Malus domestica… (Gala apples !)

I seem to have a thing about apples at the moment especially when cooked. The mix of tang and sweetness leaves me thinking that they are both savoury and pudding stuff and go with a variety of ingredients. In this set, I sliced an apple and microwaved them in a ramakin with a tablespoon of water and a tad of sugar until they became translucent. The process generates a tangy syrup and when mixed with caramelised sugar taste great but that said, its a great treat for every now and again due to the sugary content !
